I thought that "Along the Watchtower" was Jimmi Hendrix? :)
Bob Dylan wrote it an performed it years before Hendrix recorded it. Hendrix was a fan of Dylan's music. Hendrix was also inspired to sing by listening to Dylan. He felt that if Dylan had the nerve to get up there and sing with his voice he could do it also. I've also read that Gordon Lightfoot came to the same conclusion. Back to Prince. I thought I'd read somewhere that his mother was a JW.

Does anybody know if Prince is an active witness?
by oppgirl63 inmy roommate and i were watching the super bowl last night and i mentioned that prince the jw was doing the halftime show.
she insisted that if he was a jw, he was either inactive or dissassociated because he was doing something that wasn't appropriate for jw's (i didn't really see anything he did that was so bad).

Wasn't he raised a JW? Maybe he has all the brain scars of someone raised a JW and can't figure out which way he wants to go. On one side its holding the mic with thousand cheering for him while on the other side it passing it around at the KH and holding it for sister oldie while she makes a comment on how Jehovah is working through is people today.

Football, rock stars and the Watchtower just don't go together. Let a young JW go to his elders and tell them he is going out for football or forming a rock band and see what happens yet if someone already famous becomes a JW the Watchtower seem to accept them and put up with there behavior. I guess there are so few famous JWs that the Watchtower seems fascinated with their fame. Shouldn't the Watchtower be telling Prince they don't approve of football with its competition and animal names and that instead of preforming he should be out peddling their books and magazines? Isn't that what they tell everyone else?

I pass by the Clinton library.....at least 4 times every day when I work.......I think that is my car there behind that semi-truck.
Interesting world we live in where we can go on the net and find a picture with us in them. Recently I look at a satellite picture of my house in Anaheim. Hard to believe we can be on camera and not even know it. Thanks for the info on the area where you live Ms Sofa. I know very little about Little Rock and for that matter a lot of areas where people on this board live so it is always interesting to see pictures. About a year ago I got a lot of info sent to me in the mail from the state of Arkansas on vacationing in Arkansas. I don't know how I got on their list as I have never been there and didn't request it. Anyway it looks like a nice place to live.

New to the board
by KICKED OUT ini am 26 , i was baptised at 12 (way to young to make that choice) df'd at 13, reproved at 16, and then finnally df'd for good at 19. i have been forced to leave behind my family and friends, but other than that have never been happier.
i just found this board and i am very happy i have, it is great councelling, and look forward to many great discussions.
